Welcome

When I was growing up, it was the little things that meant the most. I have many fond memories of my grandparents’ home. Every visit, I could always count on the warmth of a home-cooked meal,  soft music playing in the dining room, plates clinking together in the kitchen and the Red Sox on the TV in the living room. The most important memory was the sound of my family laughing and enjoying each other’s company. It filled every room!

I found my grandfather, Alfred  Giuffrida—whom I called Nanno—to be a hard-working, family-oriented, serious man who, every once in awhile, would let his sense of humor shine through. “How’s Your Onion?” is the question that Nanno would whimsically ask us. When these special moments arose, we  would always respond enthusiastically, “Good enough to make you cry.”

When dreaming up different aspects of this restaurant, it didn’t take very long to realize it needed those same qualities that made a meal more than just that. When dining in “How’s Your Onion?,” you will find a place where you can enjoy a great meal with new and old friends and family, with an added touch of New Hampshire.

We have a great team waiting to start your day off with a smile.

Enjoy, Marc-Damian

Marc has done some absolutely amazing things with food. I remember specifically a "beer dinner" where he served braised black bear. It was surprisingly sweet and tender. I'm looking forward to what he will be serving at the Onion.
